axulsuv
As my O.E. Marzocchi's? have truly lived out their useful life ! ( I have disassembled them and refilled ) . But I can't find seals anywhere on the planet ! I was wondering if anyone out here has used the falcon aluminum bodied shocks ? cause with shipping cost's I can get them for about the same as NJB Trikshoxs ,and the falcons have a larger shaft and are rebuild-able locally ! And I just received a set of the correct style of 200 triple clamps for my 240 . I was worried that I may have wasted my time on ebay , as I saw weekend before last at a event that some 200's have the same clamps as my 240 . But alas, the bloke 's photo on evilbay was of the set I got and the bar mounts are about a inch further forward ... I hope I can feel a difference, as I believe my 240 already steers quite well !!... Glenn Edited October 31, 2006 by axulsuv
feetupfun
Glenn, I have early 1980s Marzocchi shocks on my Cota 348 and have had great success using standard industrial oil seals in them costing a few dollars each from the local bearing shop. I have tried steel bodied 340mm Classic Falcons on the same bike to see how much better they were. I tried 50 and 60 pound springs on them. Yes the Falcons do have a slightly better action but the difference is pretty marginal. David
grib
I have a pair of alloy Falcons on my 240 and they are far superior to the original shocks. I have also tried 200 yokes but have reverted back to the 240 yokes, I think it is just personal preference as to what is "better".
