albert Posted November 5, 2006 Report Share Posted November 5, 2006 Today my 4rt would only select 1st gear and neutral in mid trial.When i got back to the pits i tried to adjust the clutch but made no difference,and is now stuck in 1st.The gear lever moves up and down no problem.Does anyone have any advice?The bike is only three months old. mad4it Posted November 6, 2006 Report Share Posted November 6, 2006 Yes this does happen on the 4rt's i have repaired them beforee. What you have done is broken the end off the selector shaft, it is not as bad as it sounds ! Parts are about thirty five pounds if i remember and about an hour and a half's job. mad4it Posted November 10, 2006 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 Yes doogle but don't forget the broken rear brake caliper bracket i welded and straightened out the rear disc that was buckled and bled the brakes stripped out the rear caliper.
