kevin j Posted November 20, 2006 Report Share Posted November 20, 2006 Assuming you have checked with a known plug, removed kill switch, checked plug end, etc. Ohm the coil, I think it was 1.6 or 1.8 ohms. See if it is open or shorted. check wire. Check point gap and crank bearing on left side. As the bearing gets bad, the slop affects point gap. ?tightening up the gap (I think 012 to 016 is stock?) some might help. That will ONLY confirm a problem, the fix is new main bearings, but that is not too bad, and available from a bearing supply house quite cheap. kcj Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
