kinell
I plugged it in and charged the batteries for 12 hours over night. The LED was green and everything seemed fine this morning. The charger was warm to the touch but not hot, most importantly, the bike worked fine... It has some LED's on the throttle housing which show the power state of the batteries, they were lit up like a Christmas tree this morning so I think all is ok

Bunch of prophets of doom out there.

steve
Details on the label are: -Class 2 Battery Charger: Model LC3-24-2A INPUT: AC 100-240v 50/60Hz INPUT POWER: 57W (Max) OUTPUT: DC24v/2.0A Cheers... class 2 indeed means double insulated (no earth) so it doesn't matter which wire goes to where. You will be fine on the input voltage as the label says 100-240v If you are at all worried then stick your multimeter on the output. Should be 24v DC according to the specs. barrybaines
I like the way the quote boxes even use the "special filters!"
