ham2
Couldn't find the rule change but I did have a laugh of the translation of Bruno Comozzi's name
scorpa3
If I read it right (and that's not easy.) this is describing an almost completely different sport. A bit like comparing football to rugby. It certainly has it's merits, although the translation makes it a little hard to fully understand. todotrial
JAJAJAJAJA Yesss, this is a joke!!!! Efectively, December 28th is the spanish April fool's day!!!! But there is part of reality in the new! Of course this rules will not be in World Championship, but this new rules "Openfree" are real. The Openfree rules was created last year by Bernard Estripeau, a french man who is the organizer of Trial Indoors in France. The new trials system was tested in france with good results, and for 2007 is possible that will be an Openfree championship in France. Later the italian journaliste Giulio Mauri tested the new rules in a trial held in Lesmo (Italy) and call it Freetrial. In that trial were competing Diego Bosis, Daniele Maurino and other 30 riders, and the result was good too. Now in Italy are thinking in create other local Openfree championship. Interesting? Incredible? Horrible? ... Happy new year from Spain! (and sorry for my bad english) Edited December 29, 2006 by Todotrial

Hola Senor TodoTrial, Congratulations on your excellent English! It is much better than my Spanish. Muchas gracias for the information about FreeTrial. This scoring system has been in use in the USA for well over 5 years. We call it "Gate Trials" . Many clubs all over the US have used this system for club trials. It is good to see that Europe is taking an interest in this American scoring system. You see it is an American invention not French. It was invented by American Carl Peters of NY and not Bernard Estripeau. Carl has been a rider and a trial organizer in for over 30 years. He is a member of the NATC (north american trials council) He has organized many US Nationals and several World Rounds in Watkins Glen NY. He is the father of top American rider Raymand Peters. The scoring is explained here. http://www.geocities.com/twoftup/scoring.html Thank you for your message and keep up the good work at TodoTrial. It is a great website. the observer Edited December 29, 2006 by the observer
