betarick
Anyone fitted one these 2 there rev3 carbs and noticed any diference. Just fit 1 to my carb today and also changed main jet from 150 to 145 which was with cap that my brother gave me as a xmas present sourced from lampkins. I have also done carb drilling mods when i got my 06 rev3! Anyone done these mods as well and noticed any real difference and what jets they are running! the addict
Float bowl extension and shroud cures bad pinking up hills and the reset float tang heights stops the fuel p***ing out as well as the drilling mod. No difference in power or performance though, the 145 main jet leans the mix from Betas usually too rich starting point, best jet to change is the 30 standard pilot to the 27.5 which stops any bogging or need to clear the throttle regulary. Keep a good eye on the plug though if using smaller jets incase the bike is running lean/weak
beta bodger
When you inspect the spark plug should i be looking for a light brown coating like on a car? Every time i look at mine its covered in black oily coating. Is this a sign its running too rich? I am using a mix of 75ml for every 5 litres of petrol. betarick
What a difference with a 145 mainjet and 27.5 pilot jet and float bowl cap rode bike in gale force winds and it felt so much better and revs cleaner set fuel screw to about 1 & 1/4 turns out! removed spark after 2 hours and it is nicely coated brown! not the usuall sooty black colour!
