seandellear
Hi all, I am just after some reasurance really! I bought my gasgas 06 125 a couple of months ago brand new. Since then it has been bogging down something rotten if you opened the throttle wide. I had cleaned the carb very thoroughly to make sure it wasnt that and then today set to finding out what the problem was. I finally got the bike running properly after lifting the needle to the most rich notch and the mixture screw is at three and a half turns out. I have found out that mixture screw is recomended to be at 2 1/2 turns out but bigwig (Alexz Wigg's father) said to run it at 3 1/2 and that is what it is at now and is running great. Does anyone else have to run there bike on the greatest least settings available? Is this OK to do? As I am abit worried that I don't have any further adjustment unless I rejet it! Many thanks, Sean
bilco
sean.if your gonna bring the mixture screw out that far make sure it is'nt feeling loose as it might vibrate out,if it does feel loose get some plumber's sealing tape and wrap some tape round the thread of the mixture screw that will hold it in nice and secure. seandellear
Hey Bilco, No its fine, you can bring it out to about 5 1/2 turns before it will come out and there is plenty of "drag" on it if you know what I mean! Cheers though, Sean
