kinell
I know this has been asked before but has anybody got any recommendations for good/cheap insurance companies in the UK? My insurance lapsed last year and I forgot to renew it I got the paperwork through for my bike this morning and it states 'Rev-3 Four Stroke' so hopefully it's listed as an existing bike on their manufacturers database... jetset
Put mine on house insurance as named item, covered for theft and fire damage whilst stored or away from home.
ham2
Jetset, who are you insured with? I try to add my bike on my house insurance every renewal but 'cos it's motorised I get turned down.
jetset
Allianz Cornhill, Done through local broker and they added it. I don't think you can do it if you are riding it on the road though.
stuessenhigh
wow....you're lucky jetset. Just about every house insurer ive asked to add my trials bike, wont do it. I also just tried to get a multi bike policy from Carol Nash, who Ive been with for my road bike for years, and the quote was terrible so Im still looking for a policy for my road bike and beta together Edited January 13, 2007 by StuEssenhigh
jetset
I only did it recently as my insurance premium was up for renewal so I thought I would enquire but expected them to say now. I was primarily interested in theft from garage but talking about it has prompted me ask them on Monday exactly where it is covered for as it could be that it is just insured whilst in my garage rather than away from the home. kinell
Thanks for all the advice, I rang my previous broker up and they sorted it out with Novitas? I mentioned the ACU and Bradford Trials club, Edited January 15, 2007 by Kinell
malcra
I also just tried to get a multi bike policy from Carol Nash, who Ive been with for my road bike for years, and the quote was terrible so Im still looking for a policy for my road bike and beta together I have exactly that with Carol Nash, though my TL125 is the main bike on a pre-83 classic policy, but this covers my 2004 road-bike and my SWMs also. just adding another for a 15-quid handling fee, not increase to annual premium Malc
