beta bodger
I have been trying to teach a good mate of mine how to ride trials and he is really struggling with pulling a wheelie. What advice should I offer him other than give it a hand full and pull up?
essex rider
lean foward, extend your arms to compress the forks then shift your weight back but not too far, whilst leaning back twist the throttle to lift the front up. Just keep a finger onthe clutch and foot on the brake.
seandellear
Drop your knees to compress the forks and then push back with the arms. Whilst pushing back give it a blip and the front wheel will rise without a doubt! This is how mit is tought in Ryan Young's first DVD! Its how I learnt! If this fails which I will be very surprised if it does! Add in a small pop of the clutch while the rev part is hapening! Its all timing I suppose! Cheers, Sean
dougie pumpkin
2nd gear weelies are easy, nice quick response from throttle and you can,t go that fast.. Roll throttle on up to a massive 5mph rolled it back off which will compress the front forks and then roll the throttle back on , and lean back wards, it will be a bit trial and error until you get the right lift, start off slow and work your way up the rev range until you get the correct lift . a nice long hill will make it alot easier and you can do it alot slower as well.... Have a Wheelie good time teaching him
