fantic303
Has any one an idea what the red part (probably in the clutch hose) in the blue circle can be ?
simtech
Yes it is a Staubli quick release coupling which is exactly the same as we use on the WRC cars on the clutches. More than likely HRC are pre-bleeding a spare master cylinder to aid the speed of replacement if he brakes the cylinder when competing. Therefore I would expect spare units would be available pre-bled ready just to swap over. The Staubli's are zero fluid loss therefore no bleeding required !! simtech
Please note guys - if you do go for this mod make sure you buy the couplings with EPDM seals as the Viton seals do not like brake fluid and will eventually leak !! Generally Stuabli colour co-ordinate with EPDM couplings anodised red and viton yellow.

andy_290
I also see he has his name on the tank, so he knows its his??? You'd be surprised, they all look the same, loads of back up bikes all leant against trees next to each other, all looking similar. I've even seen people ride sections on other people's bikes at local trials I've been to, funny as!
'aitch
Simtech , WRC , is that our man from Eastbourne ?
cota kid
I don't know, CK is bound to get one. Best to get 2 just in case the first one fails and obviously the titanium ones. Edited January 18, 2007 by Cota Kid
totalshell
surely you'd need two anyway one for the cylinder on the bike and one for the spare that you put on. all in
