bultacoboy
Hi Can anyone tell me if the carb on my 78 350 should be an Amal with a flat plate choke lever and if it is should the gap between the airbox and carb be very small? sherpatensing
I would have though you should have a 28mm Bing on a 350 Sherpa. They were on 350's from the 159 onwards.
bultacoboy
Cheers for that. i have looked at the carb i have and it is an amal with a bore measured at 30mm and a banjo type fitting on the float bowl where the fuel goes in. has anyone any idea if this is off any sort type of bulto at all and also whether the air box is right for my 78 350 as it is the type with the rubber mounted onto the filter and a little triangle door on the right hand side. sorry so many questions but im new to this game cheers
bultacoboy
Hi big John i have just had a look at my bike and the air box door is right hand side and shaped sort of taper style(3"down to 2")with a metal bracket on the back of the door and one on the outside of the air box on the left hand side. does this sound right to you for a bike with frame number jb-19902803. cheers for your replies john
