glenn
Hi Dose any body know what the standard mixture screw settings are. Being a comnplete nonce i have fiddled with it without checking what the standard settings where. I have found out that it makes not a jot of differance to me as i cannot feel any differance anyway so would like to return it to standard and leave it there. Thank Glenn
charliechitlins
Adjust the mixture screw until you get the highest (most efficient) idle. Then adjust the idle speed screw (which just moves the slide) to where you want it to idle. If your idle gets too high while adjusting the mixture, back off on the idle screw. jtt
Standard settings are usually 1.5 turns from full in. Charlie's technique in easy and usually very effective, I'd suggest you try it. I usually go about 1/4-1/2 turn richer (screw out) than the final setting myself, but that's a personal preferance.
superflytx270
Hi i think the factory settings are for fuel screw 3.5 turns out from base. The idle is 2 turns out from base but make sure when you screw them in to base you dont tighten them up at all just until you feel the pinch or you'll cause damage.
