legend
I had an IRIS snap as well. Wasnt pretty but at least the lads could see my blue blood. Funny how quickly 'WTF' then 'oh****e' runs through your mind when going backwards down a steep rocky hill. Serves me right for being tight! scott_king
Hi all Only ever used Renthal or RK Chains from Talon. Used them on Trials, Motocross and Road bikes. Touch wood never I have never had one break and only do the standard maintenance to them nothing special. Cant see the point in going for a cheap chain (only if it is to sale the bike and make it look better deal). if it snaps your ******. Worse case scenario: smashed engine case. I saw this happen at a trial last year on a new scorpa. Best case scenario: walking back to your car pushing the bike with everyone thinking he needs to buy a better chain I am going to shut up now. techno head
Took my IRIS chain off this evening to clean and was shocked to see one of the link end plates was split This chain has only been adjusted twice and always well lubed - that's how new it was! A quick phonecall to the nice people at BVM confirmed that they have had alot of problems with this chain and that a new one will be on it's way (not IRIS!)
