I'm considering a new helmet.

I currently have a Hebo Jeroni replica.

It is comfortable but very hot even in winter weather.

I'm considering a Shiro vented helmet or maybe an NZI.

The problem with the NZI is that it doesn't fit my head that well and would require some carving on a brand new helmet.

Other choices are the On Off carbon hemet or the Shoei helmet. Neither are vented but may be better than what I have.

Anyone with any experience with these helmaets?

Thanks!!

Shoei, they are the best, and they are vented.

The vents actually work too.

I am buying another shortly, my last one managed 2 trials.

I put it over the end of the handlebars, while checking a section, you can guess the rest!

Quite a few unpleasant words that day

Paul,? 65 quid, where was that from, mine was 145 and i thought that was cheap.

Buy one, and dont hang it on yer bars

I called TLD about that very helmet, they told me that it is not intended for motorcycle use. I asked him if they were going to get the helmet DOT certified ? they said that they had no intention of doing that, it was only for extreme sport use

have to see if it lasts like the shoei they say

you only get what you pay for.

DOT is a U.S. certification and since our trials helmets are imported by our trials importers they don't get certified. I wear a Shoei and my son Ty wears a Hebo and after careful examination before I bought them I would think they would get a DOT rating if tested. I see no way the NZI vented helmet would pass and I wouldn't wear one do to lack of safety. I have checked out the Troy Lee helmets in person and they seem pretty nice, more protective than a NZI in my opinion and I would wear one. I think Troy Lee has to say that do to legal reasons.
