125gold Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 the seeley i have stripped down needs welding under the head stock a common weak point can any seeley owners tell me if they had it done on they own seeleys , if so where and how was is it reinforced ,was plates welded under or on the sides of the headstock , also i know it is bronze welded but what type of rods were used , photos of repaired headstock would be nice for comparison, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tilertrialler Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 bronze weld a plate either side, take note of frame number, if i remember you may have to re stamp it. I would surgest tweeking the head stock in a little to steepen the headstock angle ,it makes a difference .it helps with the tight turns in todays sections. i cant remember the exact degrees but i can find out if you want. have got pictures if you want not close ups but might give you an idea.
