spike2450
Hi all Just traded in and have now a 2006 250pro, checking her over as you do!! and on my rear shock adjustment (Gold Ohlin) she appeared to be fully wound in, but then she only unwound / came out approx 10 clicks before unwinding easily with no clicks. Have i got a problem? I've read the related forum and the average i think was 40 clicks total range and to set it 18 to 20 clicks out!! When the adjuster is wound fully in how much of a gap should there be between the top of the black knob adjuster and the bottom of the spring cup (hard to explain), is it possible that it's full of crap and wasn't wound in fully? i've tried forcing it i.e. winding it in and am only getting about 10 clicks back out before again turning freely. The rear does seem to be responding i.e softer / harder. Sorry for the long winded plea for help, but i need to know if i should take her back to the dealer. regards dave
steveo
Spike, Have the same bike 250 2006 GG and the range of click adjustment is 36. When wound right out , as you start to turn back in (clockwise ) the first 2 to 3 clicks have little resistance but from then on mine is a firmer resistance with a definite "click" heard and felt through you screwdriver. Head on on back to your dealer and let him sort it.
spike2450
Hi Thanks for the reply, i removed the shock and it was easy to turn when it was of the bike, so i have set it to 18 clicks out and set the spring to 120mm length as suggested on this forum. thanks again
