dr nick
Anybody know of any trials clubs or shops or riding areas around the Toulouse area of France. I may be going there later on this year to work for a while and would be interested to know anything trials related around the area. regards N

hutchph998
Hi,I have been liveing in France for 2yrs now about an hour north of Toulouse and over recent months have been looking into the French trials scene with a few to buying a bike after a lay off for 3/4 yrs.The main man in the Midi-pyrennes is Denis at his shop called Trials Shop on the rue de Castres on the out skirts of Toulouse,he doesn't speak Anglais and has a strong SW accent but is the toulouse club mainman.Another good source for info is www.trial-magazine.com ,trials don't seem to have the regs columns like TMX,so you need to contact people by phone to get info, kinda scary depending on your language skills.I have yet to see a local trial apart from the Cahors trial in the town center in Sept, seen it twice now,but to see Raga,Fujinami,Colley and Jarvis up close was awesome.Still looking for a bike but can't decide what to get, last one was one of the last Fantics which was great but technolgy has moved things on abit.Secondhand seems a bit dodgy, the French like to do "randos" which involve rideing offroad for miles in groups so any 2nd bikes seem a bit tatty never mind mechanical state.GasGas 280's seem to be popular in the area but are they abit quick for old geezas?Dunno maybe just need to ride stuff again. If I can be any help just contact.
