copemech Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 30, 2007 Here is what I found as a good example of typical character of the D40, full auto mode in a complex DOF situation in crummy indoor lighting using only built in flash, tough conditions, this is still 3meg mode with less than 1 meg filesize in JPEG compression. In 6meg mode you could double the res! If you see the little guy on the sign, you still cannot see the pee pee, but that was not the intent! The overall wide view is very good! dabnabit Posted August 7, 2007 Report Share Posted August 7, 2007 Haven't had a chance to take any trials photos with the camera yet...........but here are some of my Grandkids. 55-200 lense, sb400 flask set at 90 degrees (bounce flash off the wall or ceiling), Dial set to P: mode (program auto exposure mode).
