doogle
Can anybody tell me the differnce between a bike rack that ges on a car and one suitable for the back of a van or motorhome. I am sure that I have seen them advertised at different prices. I have managed to blag a motorhome for the Reeth 3 day, but need to get my bike up there. The motorhome has a tow bar, and I can borrow a rack off a friend, but it is a Dave Cooper car type. Can anybody tell me if this will fit? Thanks Dave Edited April 3, 2007 by Doogle
coxy
if the towbar sticks out from the back of the motorhome then i dont think that it will make any difference to be honest and if its got a storage part wunt it be better to use that?? totalshell
as long as the van doesnt have a spare wheel or ladder to get in the way the rack ought to be ok. staying ahead of the law will probably mean a tail board will be needed. it should have a number plate on it and to get that you ll need the vans V5 and your passport ( no one said it would be simple..) ralph
Years ago a rider i new would transport his bike in his caravan, in the morning after 1 or 2 the night before he would ride it out through the door. In those day when cold the bikes would smoke for 3 or 4 mins antill warm, his caravan stank all the time of two stroke fumes but it was so funny to watch. So will it go in the door???? Do not let that betarev3 on your throne he sits on them back to front.
telecat
Where's StuartC when you need him There are racks made for 4x4's that would work on a Motor home. Try looking at Autotowbars and Dave Cooper.
