It's riders who are out of the trial, but have opted to continue riding on a 'no award' basis - they get to ride round (within the rules of the trial) as if they're still competing, get to see their scores and their placings, but don't get an award at the end of the week. If you're really that interested, have a nosey through the Supplementary Regs, but the usual suspects are : missing three or more sections in a day missing an entire hill coming in more than sixty minutes late changing bikes, or marked parts of bikes That's as exciting as it gets!
