trialsmm
Has anyone installed the optional heavy flywheel on a 250 Rev-3?
juan bobag
my bike came with 1 already fitted i've taken it off !! the bikes a bit more snappy off the throttle if u want a slightly softer power delivery then fit the weight, it only a 5 minute job Edited May 26, 2007 by juan bobag
stuessenhigh
Personally I wouldnt bother..I always take mine off, and reckon they're much better without it. Even in the mud which is where most people that like them say it helps, I just dont see that it does. Mind you ...I am a VERY average rider, or even below average, so dont just take my word for it. mad4it
No i have seen them on the beta web site i think , i have mine off anyway i like it a bit more responsive even in the mud it still grips well!
the addict
I stuck my flywheel weight back on over the winter for the mud, helped alot especially with very slippy climbs where you have to nail it at the bottom and shut the throttle imediatley to prevent spinning on the climb. The run on of the motor takes you up the climb with the throttle shut far better than without the weight on. As soon as things dried up abit I took it off again as it is a real pain in the dry due to the run on, although Ralph has still got his on the Beta
trialsmm
I'm not talking about the stock flywheel. Follow this link, is the counter flywheel weight on this BETA PARTS site heavyier than stock? http://www.betamotor.info/parts/parts_tria...trial_main.html Mick
the addict
Trialsmm, The stock flywheel is 850 grams so heavier than the one you can see on the site. Ralph had his stock one machined down to about 500 grams i think and he likes the bike with that weight on rather than the heavier stock weight. If your riding mainly on grippy terrain rocks etc I would nt stick a weight on at all due to the run on it causes, or if you still want to see if you can get a stock one cut down. Saying that though its all down to personel preference
