Tl125 150cc Conversion

I have recently bought a tl125 to do up not to a concours rebuild but a good usable trials iron to use instead of my 03 sherco 290. Now being a bit heavier than I was as a lad I am considering a sammy miller 150 conversion my barrel is a 124cc type so no problems there what I want to know is what to jet the carb to also do you run a different plug than standard ie hotter or colder. I am also thinking about doing a disc front end conversion as my fork legs need recromeing so what bike would be a good candidate for a replacement front end. If ferret flasher reads this need help with wirring.

The Sammy Miller 150cc conversion is _ok_ and my bike has this however it results in a liner you flex between your fingers ! Many people fit a thicker liner, the whole discussion on this is TL125 FAQ, but for sure the main benefit is getting rid of the idle-cough.

I didn't need to change or re-jet the carb, but I did have to replace in the end with 1/2 a CB360 carb, as mine was knackered. Standard DR8ES plug seems to work fine (though TL125s can eat plugs on a trial)

Dont do the disk conversion, not work the effort on what I am still saying is not the best 70's trials iron. See Article. Dont rechrome the forks, get some off a TY175 or 250 or ones that are more beefy.
