scrumpyjack
Hi all, i have just bought another seeley honda, but its had a disk conversion, the forks are standard but the front wheel has been changed... the disk is quite large. My question is did anyone do this type of conversion in the early days, as it looks well done? If anyone wants a pic email me at: alangasgas@hotmail.com I dont want to change it if it is a rare early mod. thanks all: Scrumpy (i bet big john will know)
scrumpyjack
Thanks John, I think i will have to source a new front wheel... or flog it as it is! Is it just me or have all the Seeley owners locked up there bikes as a future investment? At the last two twinshock/pre 65 trials that i did i never saw a single one!! (or does Big John now have them all) Scrumpy :-)
griffiths of wales
I ride my old banger every weekend..mainly on the less technical stuff but it sure does make me smile..bloody great bike. And now I'm not scared to smash the lovely fibreglass tank cover to bits either, as I saw some lovely shiney new ones at Malvern this year! marvellous. Regards, Mark. brian r
I've often wondered how hard and how expensive it would be to get a descent 79 Seeley sent over here to the USA.
andy m
I plan to use mine this year, not trialled it yet. Its still on standard tyres, levers and cables even Doherty grips Amal throttle etc. As it left the factory except for a Wes pipe. I also have a genuine Seeley tank cover/ seat unit that was supplied with the bike when new still in wrapper.
scrumpyjack
I've often wondered how hard and how expensive it would be to get a descent 79 Seeley sent over here to the USA. Not cheap i'm afraid,, unless you can find someone who has some room in a container... "I bet Big John knows someone ;-) " Otherwise you wont have much change from
andy m
As stated earlier I have still got the Amal throttle on mine and it seems a bit firey, took it for a MOT today so had a chance to try it and I dont know whether the throttle is fast or slow, my Scorpa 125 seems sedate compared to the Seeley. Any ideas to tame it?? Thanks
