martin belair
For those of you that may not be aware, American Dennis Sweeten is the lone US rider at the SSDT this year. Dennis got off to a rough start on Monday and was out of the top 100, but has since pulled himself into the top 50. Wednesday he had a very respectable 18 point day. Dennis owns Apex Sports in Oregon and is the Montesa parts distributor for the US. http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showartic...p?articleID=409 Martin Belair US Montesa

perce
Andy: What was the trouble he had on day one? Go Dennis! He told me it was a combination of riding a brand new bike & a bit of jet lag.
jaylael
I saw Dennis tonight and he was walking a little stiffly. I asked him if he was still sore from the Scottish and he said no. He was fine until he went practicing wednesday night at Kary's house. See the trials riding at Kary's must be tougher than the whole scottish six days then eh? Hmmmm. To quote my old buddy Ed C., "He must be tougher than hammered owl poop." only he didn't say poop.
bullfrog
I beg to differ . . . he DID say "hammered owl poop"! I heard it myself!
jaylael
As I get older I'm more prone to mis representing the facts. You gotta' watch me. It sounded funnier.
