samm
Hello, I'm new to moto trials having ridden bicycle trials for around 4 years now and I'm having some trouble with my bike not starting. I was riding it today and from cold it was a bit lumpy so i revved it up for a while before jumping on and just cruising around trying to warm it up. It decided to stall so i started it up again it ran for about 10secs before it started to die so i gave it some throttle and it just gave up. Now it won't start at all. When kick starting it i can hear it wanting to turn over and occasionaly it does start but then i just get a belch of smoke out the exhaust and it dies. Any idea what this could be? i'd really appreciate some advice! If you need to know anything else then please ask 'cause i really want to get this sorted! Thanks, Sam Edit: spelling mistakes! Thanks, Sam Most obvious, but I am assuming that you have fuel, and the fuel petcock is turned on? Have you checked the sparkplug? When was it last changed out? Is your fuel fresh? What ratio are you mixing your oil? Should be 80:1 full synthetic. The first two things are to determine whether you have fuel, and you have spark. samm
I hate being new to a sport! Spark plug was the problem. Cheers
