scorpa3
Due to the heavy rain making the car park impossible to use, the Stratford-Upon-Avon Club trial will now be at Saintbury Quarry and not Top Farm as advertised. Saintbury Quarry is just three miles from the original venue and will be signposted from the A44 at the top of Fish Hill near Broadway. Sorry for the inconvenience, please pass the word around. scorpa3
The sections are plotted for Sundays trial at Saintbury Quarry. We have marked the trial out as if it is going to be wet, so if it doesn't rain it'll be a fairly easy ride around. The big climbs for the A route have plenty of run up! the addict
Now...............if that is Neil on the gasser it is a very rare picture indeed, well worth copying to disc Pete looks like hes got the full compliment of riding kit, all the bits on the bike it should have (including brakes) and no cut out beer keg as a rear mudguard
the addict
The Trial turned out well today despite the torrential rain from 8am to 12 ish this morning. Had to slightly change two sections from yesterday but overall think all the routes turned out very ridable and nothing impossible. Ralph turned up near the start time and rode really well, pretty sure he did me by about 20 odd marks and was well pleased with his bike after sticking in some Boyesens last week. AtomAnt arrived early and think he enjoyed the days riding, hes well happy with his bike now after Mick Danby has gone through it, totally transformed it he said. Big thanks to all the Observers for standing out in the wet stuff for three hours and all sections were manned all day
scorpa3
Echo those sentiments, many thanks to all the observers, to John and Justin for helping me set out and a big thank you to everyone who turned up to ride, we even had a TY80 on the D route which made it worth setting that out (just the one!) Most people had heard of the venue change, so swapping to Saintbury from Top Farm caused very little hassle. Nick & Penny from Top Farm came along with their burger van and reported that the track past their farm leading to the planned car park field was fast flowing water at 8am this morning. A special thanks should also go to the owners of Saintbury Farm for allowing us to use the quarry at such short notice.... it saved the day. I'll post the results shortly. Good job on the sections ! Yes, I was also very impressed with what Mick has done to the Gasser. He knows his stuff thats for sure. Probably why Ross' gasser is so good! It's a completely new bike and the grip I was getting grip on those slippery banks was amazing. Well pleased. Whens the next one dude
