ozrokhoppa
Hi to all, I looked and maybe this question has been answered before, then i will feel like a dumbass, lol here goes........................... What reeds are you guys using for the 290 sherco and what jetting? How does it go in higher attiutudes (spelling??) I find it hard to jet to run clean at 2000 ft above sea level was wondering if the reeds would let more air in to help with air/fuel mix. any ideas or suggestions ??? oh the bike does get used at sea level just want to get rid of the doughy bottom end, cheers
copemech
I feel like a dumbass answering this, but I allowed others plenty of time ti chime in! The reeds can change the way the power is applied, but the stock reeds seem a happy medium. Depends upon what you want. Jetting changes at altitudes up to about 3000msl are usually not neccessary. Depends a bit upon the years and individual bikes, but a combo of 36/ 118 should work well as a baseline. Adjust mix screw accordingly and be sure air filter is clean! Hope that helps! ozrokhoppa
Lol, on the dumb ass, i was wondering if i got too techo, thanks for the advice,i try the jetting, see if that helps ...the bike isnt crisp off the bottom is the prob i want to fix...as for air filters i got three so i change one before every ride as the dust can get like talc here (third year in drought) even in the creek beds where it seems the worst. Just wasnt sure if the height might be a hassle,so i try the jets ,see how it goes, cheers for the advice
