biffsgasgas
He is doing fine. He is the gimpy kid. Cant take him anywhere with out something breaking or happening. Makes life interesting and gives him something to complain about. --Biff
zippy
Gaby Posted Jul 31 2007, 12:56 PM Right on Biff! These guys are super cool and always put on a great event I agree!!!! It's even a blast if it rains. great group of people. We need more attendance at the Windsor event. But how about we keep the ADVANCED class to 3 riders or less, that's the only way I can go home with a medal. And I can tell the missus what an awesome rider I am. biffsgasgas
Nope I came back through canada last night at 1 am. All you need is your birth certificate and a licence. Oh if you have a creepy white van that may make it hard but if you give them a super sam smile and an up beat attitude you should be golden. --Biff
sam
So funny Biff, BradH, myself and several others were bad mouthing the American border post cops for being so rude coming back in the states during one of the MOTA events, well on the way back home I had a person that actually was friendly with no attitude, amazing! One time I had a man that was maybe Nigerian working the post, he was so nasty to me, he addressed me in a sturn tone, take off those sunglasses! I thought he might end up pistol whipping me. All I could think of was what nationality are you bozo!!! Who's going to show, Jim, Biff, Sam maybe Brad and Gray I hope! Aaron, I think will be in NM at the nationals. TIM HORTON Coffee here I come, hoosier hillbillys love that stuff!!! sam
biffsgasgas
Brad and Gray are out of it from what we have seen. Brad has thrown out his shoulder doing (what else) motor cross (um i mean jogging? ) and Gray is all company man now and is putting time in on work. Funny Border crossing story. I go to ny to buy my audi back in 2002. I decide to leave syracuse at 2 am. got into canada at about 5. Got to the border at about 11 trying to come back into detroit. I only had my licence with me. Well when i got to the border patrol the lady was asking me about pass port or birth cert. I had neither... She said that i was probably a threat to the us and started badgering me. She would ask questions but not listen for answers. So she said she would let me in the country if i answered one question. Who is the 16th president of the US? Heck if i knew. I have limited amount US history knowledge and can tell you anything you want to know about a car or a trials bike. So after 45 mins of being reamed out i asked her what kind of car she drove. She said an SUV. I said Well i suggest you start walking to work so you can loose a few pounds. oooooo Big mistake. Very un biff like. They escorted me to the tear down lane. They put me in a little room and made me take my clothes off except for my undies. We reviewed the tape of the conversation in my skivy's... Fyi they record the conversations. They punnished me verbally and did a back ground check. Thank god they didnt try to search me any further. Well after an hour they gave me my clothes back. After another hour they brought me to my new car which had inner door panels off, Seats out, Valve covers off, Instrument cluster out, Steering wheel off. They wouldnt let me borrow tools and there was no one to call because i was on international property. Crud. I begged for an allen wrench to put my valve covers on threw the seat in the drivers side unbolted. Threw all of the parts in the back of the car pushed the steering wheel on with no bolt and drove back to kalamazoo that way...... Lesson learned. Yes and no answers gets you in and out. --Biff

jimg
Hay MOTA guys, Scott D. was wondering if he could bring his "Beta" trailer or parts trailer over to the Windsor event. I told him it's probably not a good idea. Any concerns?
brian r
Well, my Canada story in mild compared to that. All they did to me was search the car (rental) and hold me up. I had to go to a couple of buildings and be harassed. What a pain, I think if I was wearing a turban they would have thought I lived in Dearborn and just let me through. Mine was the Canadian side btw. When they said "you can go now" I said where? You already made me miss my appointment! What a bunch of BS !!!!!! brian r
Oh, and the tunnel seems better than the bridge. The Ferry at Marine City/ Sarnia is the best though.
sam
Jim, I do not see a problem with Scott bringing his trailor, just pull any price tags and say its team parts! shercosam
sam
I'm curious about passports, I always carry one with me going to canada but may bring one of my obnoxious friends along who does not have one. Why, do you ask I bring a obnoxious friend along? To brag about my Sherco for 4.5 hours to the Ambassador Bridge, friends are few and far between these days!
