betarick
Anyone have any news on addingham moorside! I heard that the moor as now been open to cycle trials on the 14 day rule? Do the council think cycle trials is motorsport and what as happened to the pettion and all the letters we sent to mr fothergill!
Andy
I sent the petition off (1700 odd signatures) to him along with an offer of legal assistance and access to planning specialists which was kindly put up by a TC Member and have heard nothing. I'm told I shouldn't be surprised by this though.
betarick
Cheers for letting us know Andy i have heard nothing and i live in silsden which as you know is below the moorside! I have lived here all my life 33 years and when i mention anything to any one including silsden council members they know nothing either! I think yeadon and guiseley club could do moor or are they only bothered about there club trials there next year when they get there 14 days back! Any way enough of the winge are you at brimham rocks tomorrow as i will be?
telecat
Yeadon Guiseley first priority was to get the Trials planned on at Addingham. We do not own the land but do have contact with the landowner as such we would support them in whatever they wish to do. Perhaps rather than turn your wrath on the club or landowner you should be directing it towards Bradford council and the local councillor who seems to have put himself in a position to influence the planning process. I have little doubt that if the Planning process proves as successful as it seems tack may well be changed.
crosser
I have a debreif booked with Bradford council about our show next week ,I will bring it up again and do my shouting bit! I am sure I will just get the usual answers but I will make alot of noise! We also made a big donation to the Lords mayor appeal jointly with Colin Appelyard motorcycles and have a local press shoot with the lord mayor on Thursday, I will make sure he knows the damage his council are causing to off road sport in Bradford and our donation ( a new bike to raffle on the showfield) or the event, that brought over 16000 tourists to Bradford would not have been possible without off road sport. I personally spent most of my weeknights and every school holiday on that moorside riding my bike, it gave me a sports carear and a business and would be a massive loss to trials round here, I am trying. Do the council think cycle trials is motorsport and what as happened to the pettion and all the letters we sent to mr fothergill! any usage, inclduing cyclo trails would count as a "permmited development" under planning law (ie one of your 14/28 days)
