the addict
Has anyone used these before? look pretty good and better than Heli-coil by the look of them, usually strip a thread at least once a year and its a bloody pain taking something to get it fixed so if a thumbs up I might invest in a kit. Very usefull for the heavier rider who does a big jump and folds up their cam adjusters and shears the adjuster bolts clean off at the same time Time Serts Edited August 10, 2007 by The Addict

paulthistle
I have both and use both. I prefer Helicoils. The Time Sert is easily uncrewed when removing a fastener. The Helicoil will stay in place. Also the design of the helicoil allows it to "Press into" the parent metal reducing the chance of stripping, and making it much stronger than the original threads. The Time sert pulls against the threads you have cut, just as the original did. Both have their place and can be used successfully.
