swooshdave
Picture Gallery here Another great turn out in the Pacific Northwest. Over 80 riders on all sorts of bikes. Again the Modern Classic (roughly 1970-1980 twinshock) class was the most populated. There were some vicious sections. We sat and watched one trap take out rider after rider. Between the mud and a precariously placed tree root on an uphill turn, it managed to cause more 5's than I'd seen in a while. I took at crack at it and dog paddled my way through all three rounds, more than happy to take my 3's and move on. My first round was dismal, but I think the last two approached reasonable (at least for me). We'll be back at the same location in month and give it another go. swooshdave
I'm sad I missed it. What's happening next month, Dave?Shaun Here's my calendar. Click on an event and it should give you a web link. Wednesday is Ishy's, but that might be hard for you to make. They let us bring vintage bikes out last year and even let us ride them. Sept. 15th: Goldendale for Hammer & Tongs. I think Jay is still putting this one on. Jay, is this still a go? The next weekend is the Premier and Classic back at the Farm. It'll be smaller than the National so you can take your time and no waiting. But same course, usually reversed. Derek is holding a trials school on Friday at 1pm. My cousin went to the one prior to the National and said it was well worth it. It's only $25 and for most riders it will be educational. We talked Derek into holding another class so the more that show up the better. Then the FOLLOWING weekend it Klamath Falls. If you're coming down from Canada you might as well just take three weeks off and ride your heart out... Is that enough trials? I just hope that the bike and I hold up that long.
