old trials fanatic
Peak Classic Trials Club Round 7 Club Championship Carsons Farm 12 August 2007 A good turnout of 44 riders contested the 7th round of the Peak Classic Trials Club championship at Carsons Farm near Matlock on Sunday. Against expectations the weather held till the end of the trial and the expected rain took pity on the entrants. Carsons Farm can get very slippery when it rains so the sections may have seemed a bit on the easy side for some but a good days sport was had by all with a happy bunch at the finish with clean bikes for once. Four laps of 10 sections were completed mostly tight turns over tree roots with the odd rock step thrown in to catch any lapse of concentration. With all the sections cleanable the results were as follows. British Bike Expert route 1 J Fountain James 1 mark (furthest clean) 2 P Carson Cub 1 mark 3 D Cooper Greeves 3 marks Twinshock Expert route 1 C Milner Bultaco 1 mark 2 S Garlick Armstrong 5 marks 3 C Garlick Honda 8 marks British Bike 50/50 route 1 D Carson James 2 marks 2 B Micklethwaite Francis Barnett 11 marks 3 H Stannistreet James 30 marks Twinshock 50/50 route 1 C Braddock Fantic 5 marks 2 A Weston Yamaha 14 marks 3 J Wilson Majesty 15 marks British Bike Clubmans route 1 P Elvidge Greeves 2 marks 2 P Ward Cub 5 marks 3 S Barnes Cub 5 marks Twinshock Clubmans route 1 R Mycock Bultaco 2 marks 2 M Booth Aprillia 4 marks 3 T Sammon Majesty 17 marks
