mathew2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Share Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) recently i done a trial and i took the carb off to clean it and when i start it up now lots of white smoke comes out of the exhaust and the engine could anybody help ? the addict Posted August 25, 2007 Report Share Posted August 25, 2007 (edited) As GIZZA said sounds like water getting in the combustion chamber and making steam, check your coolant level and see if its low, be worth checking your plug as well encase the bikes running very lean. baldilocks Posted August 25, 2007 Report Share Posted August 25, 2007 What does it smell like ? You will be able to smell the oil if its a crank seal and it will be blue rather than white smoke . I once rebuilt a carb but left the pilot jet on the bench, it started but blew clouds of smoke out of the back. now I thought I was the only person daft enough to do this..................
