the artist formerly known as ish
Arriving at the parce ferme sat noon I went to the sherco factory truck to get my bike, a brand new sherco 2.9 belonging to US importer Ryan Young, and on loan to me for the six days. This bike was straight out of the box nothing done to it at all, I took the lighting system off fitted the RYP harness eliminator and a kill switch, then checked all bolts were tight fitted a front mud flap and took her for a test ride. I rode the bike for two hours steady 5 mile up the road, rode a few easy sections and then back again to the park ferme, I adjusted the levers and bars to my preference and rechecked all was tight, put duct tape under the rear fender and alongside the fender by the airbox to keep water out and that was it. I checked the bolts and filter each day adjusted the chain but nothing was replaced except a bent gear selector and a set of rear brake pads, running in deep mud and water all week none got into the airbox and the bike ran flawlessly all week on the same rear tire and air filter. A big thanks to RYP for the bike, 180 sections and 530 miles later it still ran like new. Pictured! last group last day the RYP sherco still on song. My Gasser did 630 & never missed a beat.
