coxy Posted August 30, 2007 Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 hi im just wondering if anyone could help me at all, i have a 2006 gas gas 250 and it aint revving out, it will start perfectly every time but after about half throttle it wont rev and starts popping and backfiring and stuff, just wondering if anyone hasd had this problem or if anyone could give me some advise as to what to look at etc p.s ive cleaned the carb, air filter is clean etc, new plug in it, fuel and everything is ok anyone help would be appreciated coxy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

the addict Posted August 30, 2007 Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 Did you blow the carb out with an air line to clean it? if not blow it out as something might be stuck in a jet or passage. coxy Posted August 30, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 yeah blown the carb and all the jets out with air line and soaked them in carb cleaner so nowt in there will try that tomorrow thanks! but i would of though if it was the kill switch it wouldn`t run at all?? gasgasthermo Posted August 31, 2007 Report Share Posted August 31, 2007 Its probably the plug cup then, same happened on my bike but it was intermittent would rev out some times but not others but it was on a 125 But tis a cheep and easy thing to check + if its not that then you have got a spare one.
