copemech Posted May 20, 2004 Report Share Posted May 20, 2004 Wayne, do you think you could get us a spec off a new bike for the fork oil level measured with a dipstick through the vent caps and the bike sitting on a stand. Also any recommendation on oil type would be appreciated as the factory seems to recommend 4wt. I have not found this oil available. The best I can find is the 5wt Maxima oil. wayne thais Posted May 22, 2004 Report Share Posted May 22, 2004 MC, Take a look at this manual, it does provide compete instructions on how to change to fork oil, with the amount to add when refilling and when starting with a completely clean system. We recommend the Maxima 5 or 10 wt oil, depending on your riding style and weight.
