cota315r
Hi My mate has a Montesa Honda MH200 (circa 84-85) and the gearbox is noisy and difficult to get into gear. We wanted to drain the oil and refill but don't know how much oil it should have. I assume it uses light oil like most trials/moto-x bikes? Cheers Stumpy Edited September 17, 2007 by cota315R

It had an awful gearbox...very fragile, and not all that well-working when not broken. Good luck!
perce
Unfortunately some bikes get big numb owners with sledge hammer left feet, when you grew up with 70's Monts you learnt how to caress them into gear. Never owned a 200 so have no idea how much oil to put in 'em.
348mate
Slight guess here but i would try ep90 gear oil about 300cc , seems all this era montesas list this type/quantity. Also remember that the clutch/primary drive has its own oil .. S_M.

My skidplate-protected transmission broke to bits when I cased it on a rock...without a whole lot of force.
