g
I will be looking at getting a new bike in the near future & have a few questions. 1. How often do they require a rebuild? (I ride clubman level) 2. Longivity is important to me, which brand will last as well as my TY175? (2 & a half kids & a mortage, it will have to last & be reliable). 3. Which brand will be easy to get parts for in the future? 4. Which brand is best for servicing? 5. European or Japanese engine? 6. Steel or aluminimum frame? ( Is cracking a problem with alloy frames on trials bikes?) Thanks in advance for you imput. Hope this doesn't open a pandor's box Adrian
bigfoot
It does so I won't even start. Do a search. You'll find this topic time and time again.
neonsurge
Realistically, ALL recent generation trials bikes are good - there's not a duffer amongst them and although most people have a personal preference, at clubman level it mostly comes down to what you're used to. A GasGas owner may ride a Beta and decide that it's not as "good" as their bike when in fact it's just different. For practical purposes the most important consideration is the proximity of your local dealer and if they specialise in a particular brand then your decision about which bike is 80% made for you.
