bigfoot
I've just downloaded and read the user manual for the 04 Gasser. I don't know if other bikes have the same warranty restrictions but this one is good. "Obligation of the purchaser" "GG shall be entitled to refuse to accept warranty claims if and to the extent that:" "g) the vehicle has been used for competitions, races or any attempts at any record whatsoever." Now isn't that a great get out clause for a competition bike manufacturer?

jtt
Not sure about trials bikes, but it's a pretty standard type clause for most motorcycle manufacturers. In fact, we should consider ourselves as fortunate to be offered ANY type of warrantee. MXers don't come with any, as they are "intended for competition use". hrc2002
What if it is used for practice only, and not entered in any competitions?

sirdabsalot
The bike manufacturers did away with warranties about the time Ringo started riding. I wonder if there's a connection??!! Richard
