Lets Hear It For Luxembourg

Brilliant as Spain etc were to watch Luxembourg definately added to the flavour of the event. Watching them practise was real heart in the mouth stuff. Crashing was of the highest order! :(

Also good to see the Irish boys taking on complex carbohydrates in the form of fish and chips whilst waiting to ride the Port Jack section. :)

Well done IOM lot - a well organised event.

I agree, and you should have seen the Latvian boys at the after party last night! :(

They had finished their two laps before the British, Spanish and Japanese had even done one.

Actually it was a great night and some antics must stay unreported needless to say the Isle of Man held it's own in the ''Dance off Des Nations'' against the Portuguese, Spanish, British and Swedish (I think). Much hilarity and end of season partying and a great way to round off the weekend.

Pity I've got to work today, could do with a few hours sleep rather than sat at my desk :)

Oh yeah - rub it in what a great time was had. France last year was a bit pants on the social side of things :(

However, we gave Mr McRae a right good send-off yesterday.

134 Imprezas (and one Forester!) in convoy up through the Lanark valley with the full blessing of Strathclyde Police who gave us a police escort and stopped all other traffic for us to get through.

A very emotional day, but a very good service with the right mix of sadness and humour.

I was keeping well away from the Dance Off in case I was hit by one of the acrobatic Spanish minders, who was performing back flips.....honest.

The evening was capped off by being introduced to IoM national dish of.....cheesy chips and gravy, a very cold walk home (for one person) and a brave attempt to find some where else to drink at 3.00am in Douglas. Failed.

A great event and a great laugh.

But why do the ACU make the riders paddock shirts look like something a darts player would wear? Doug (the power) Lampkin.

While we all hear it for Luxembourg, i think we should for the Dutch too. While having a spot of luncg at the grandstand on the sunday, i was watching a few teams ride the final section. One moment of brilliance was from the final dutch rider to ride the rockery...With a fantastic clean all the way to the end, he decided to try and show off with a Fuji style leg over the seat stunt over the final rock, yards to the finish he landed the bike but unfortunately for him his feet were on one side of the bike and he slipped off the peg...incurring a five after a good ride through the rest of the section. You would have had to of been there to see it as it was quite funny to see him argue his mark!!!
