marlintec
to read it in english... Hi G., sorry but I wrote the english version only for the Bul4T pages. If the new Sherco pages would consolidate, I'll write the english version (well, with all my limitations because English isn't my mother tongue) In the meanwhile, you may try a web translator like BabelFish or another one. Sorry for the inconvenients and many thanks for your interest. Cheers, JM:
g.rasp
Did any one have any problems with getting the choke on the keihin as on my 04 sherco the fuel tap is in the way , and you cant turn the carb very much as one of the over flow ports is in the way, also I was told to drill a little bit out on the throttle ( up on the bars ) as the cable is to short. Thanks G.RASP
wayne thais
I have not had any problem rotating the carb enough to allow the choke to clear the fuel tap. It is very close but it has not proven to be a problem and I have installed the Keihin on several bikes. I use the original throttle tube off of the stock carb on the new one and grind a bit off of it to make the cable work. Wayne
howard wallace
I also used the standard Dellorto cable adjuster and cut 4mm off each thread. Remove about half the bowl drain bolt at an angle to clear the top of the gearbox case, and an automotive radiator hose with the same diameters as the carb and airbox, 35mm long fits great. Cheers Shercoh
marlintec
problems with getting the choke on the keihin as on my 04 sherco the fuel tap is in the way , and you cant turn the carb very much as one of the over flow ports is in the way Keihin has the PWK model in severals configuration, with the vent and overflow holes in different places. If your model has the vent hole at the right, it will touch the exhaust when tilting to save the fuel tap. It is very easy to drill out the other side of the carb and close the other vent. I did that on my Keihin (shown in the photo). Cheers, JM. Edited June 29, 2004 by Marlintec
marlintec
also I was told to drill a little bit out on the throttle ( up on the bars ) as the cable is to short. You could use the Dell'Orto angled-guide (sorry I can't find the word) and mantain all in the original status. When you sell the bike (or if you don't like the Keihin), it will be very easy to come back again. Cheers, JM.
