joe87
My rear brake lever suddenly started rubbing on the chain. There was left to right movement on the lever so I changed the bearing and the bush/nut. I refitted the lever but it still had play on it and touched the chain. I was wondering if I was missing a shim on the bush? Any suggestions???
paul w
is the chain tensioner bent? or look at the footrest bracket they bend for fun! Edited October 5, 2007 by paul w
gsade
This happened to mine the other week, Didn't know I'd done it but had dinged it on a rock - when I thought back I could remember the culprit! Took it off, popped in the vice & warmed it up a bit then carefully bent it out by a couple of mm - there's very little clearance between chain & pedal at best of times so even an almost inperceptible bend (couldn't visibly see any on mine) will cause problems. Hope this helps Ade
eddie_lejeune
On every one of these i have had i have had this problem and if its just rubbing slightly i leave it. I know you could heat it to straighten it but even at that they are easy snapped.
