What about Amos for fastest time or even the outright win. Certainly in with a shout for providing the most enterainment.

Too old, too slow.

what is the best result for a first timer?

Dunno, I think Doug was 6th in first year.

I think Rob Crawford won it first time out (may be wrong??)- ie best first timer

I also think that this is correct, I'll have to check up on it.

Michael Brown rode in 2004, 2005 & 2006, it took him until 2006 to get a top 26 result.

Talking of outsiders, didn't Trevor Willans get very close to setting Standard time one year only to be pipped by Harold Crawford?

John Sunters always very quick, spoke to him after the scott when Grimbo finished half an hour in front, John said he could have gone 15 minutes quicker than he did but no way half an hour quicker

They all go far too fast

good luck to everyone who has entered and my hats off to you all

sorry dabster but i disgree with your edmondson theory, he won a scott spoon, failure with paul eddy has never been an option, world enduro champion and the great motocross ace roger de coster reckons paul could have won a world moto cross championship, yes i am a big paul eddy fan, respect!

Ross Danby did very well last time on the 125, watch out for another mega ride for a small capacity machine.

Pretty sure Ross is on a 250 this year(?)

Yes, Ross is now on a JST GasGas PRO 250cc but he did have an awesome ride last year on the 125cc :D

Here is his last years report Click Linky

Knight said the 'Scott' was his toughest race ever. But he says that at every tough event he races in. He did mention the punctured tire story when we chatted - and said he would've done better without that mishap. I couldn't understand the whole conversation but it was something about going over the bars in a moor. He also mentioned he'll be there cheering on his brother Juan.

I'm going to go on a limb and pick Jarvis to Win, Dougie to Place and Wiggy to Show.
