gjbiker
Is it the motor making the noise or is it the blades hitting something ?
bingo
hello, i have taken the fan off the bike, when you spin the blades it seems to vibrate, the blades are not hitting anything, it seems like the motor shaft is vibrating at the fan end rather than the back end of the motor. it spins freely though...... manx2day
Hi, I had a problem with my fan on my 04 Pro. The bearings went and the fan packed in, had to buy a new fan. My fan started to whine toward the end of trial and after washing the bike the fan stopped and the rad boiled over, luckily i noticed and it didn't do too much damage. I was advised by my dealer to spray some lube (WD40 or similar) into the back of the fan after washing so the water wouldn't rust up the bearings and eventually seize them. Hope that helps in some way!?

manx2day
I think my fan seized, bingo, so i think you have done the right thing for the long run by buying a new one. Better safe than sorry!
