jezza
Anyone splashed the cash on one of these works/handmade looking Ti front pipes yet? Looks like a nice bit of kit. As well as lightening my wallet, is it much lighter than the standard item? http://www.betamotor.com/en/factory_parts/show/1?part=
fkrisztian
The standart front pipe's weight is just 800 gr (1.76 pounds), so I don't think that the Akrapovic could be much less.
gez
The front pipes good, better then the s1 version, I,ve got mine matched up with the upgraded centre pipe sounds good and is very crisp at pickup, warning front pipe gets very hot so fit a jitsie front pipe protector for your own sake , also replace the front frame/sump plate bolts for flat headed allen bolts as the exhaust does foul on them, and does move when hot. It is titanium so I would guess 400 grms.

jezza
In what way is the "upgraded centre muffler" upgraded over the std item? What were the noticeable differences when fitted? Is it mostly the placebo effect? Not so interested in weight saving as cleaning the mud from underneath the rear mudguard and from the front area of the sump between sections is the cheapest way to keep the bike light. That and not brimming the tank. Or chucking 6th gear in the skip. Edited December 8, 2007 by jezza
