windlestone
Whatever else you use, repsol,ATF etc your clutch won't be as smooth and it'll be more difficult to start in gear. Have you tried BVM for ELF ?
daggs888
I've had ELF (which is good) I now use cheapo ATF from Halfords, not as good as the ELF ...... but not far off. windlestone is right about BVM, thats were I got mine from .... sherpat
I have been using the HRC synthetic tranny oil with good results! Same here. It's easy to get, reasonably priced, and I think the clutch action is fine.

The oil that I was referring to, is from the local Honda motorcycle dealer, and is the same oil specified for the Honda CRF 4-stroke MX gearboxes. It's not intended for girly automatics! I don't have a bottle in front of me, but it's called something like "Honda Performance Transmission Oil", or maybe "Honda Racing...". bob_pa_usa
Is it the 10W40, which appears to be synthetic, or the 80W/85W, which is unclear as to natural/synthetic? Thanks, Bob
