big john
Big John: Where do you hide that bike???It is not in your garage. Maybe under your bed??? Oh yes Greeves, it was there in the corner of the Batcave! Did you not see it? You were too busy with the 340 and complaining about the carburation of the Bing! greeves
Too many bikes there...... you need to make some space....... maybe one Matchless lessss makes enough space for you to move arround. I am quite busy this days, but will post some photos soon of my new weapon for the Spanish Champ. starting in Mallorca island next 2nd. March. A completely rebuilt Bultaco 340 Puma Racing. A beast not even Vesterinen would had ever dreamed to drive something like that......

greeves
Here it is; THE BEAST. Interesting to see the opinions about modified Pre-65 and Twinshocks in http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....mp;#entry155535 May be funny to see how many differences would you find in a series bike and in this Puma Racing 340....... Here goes the easy one: - The front mudguard is a GasGas. Try more......
kinell
Here it is; THE BEAST. Wow, that bike is stunning - how much would a bike like that cost to buy today? I'm hankering after an old bike, it must be my age
kinell
... you've got an old mans bike Ooh bitchy - you're an older man on a younger model, just wait till the cow chucks you down a big hill
jezza
Ok let's see; Rear box modded to single outlet Front pipe extended Modern footrests Chain adjusters moved inside swing arm Front mudguard stay Extra cylinder head support to the front Different carb Gas assisted rear shocks Thinner seat Chain guard Sure there are more goodies internally and probably more externally that I have missed. woody
I've tried to use front mudguard clamps like that in the past but they are too small in diameter to fit over the Betor forks. What are they off - any idea Mr Greeves? or are they made by Puma specially for the Betors? Also - what is the back mudguard. I've noticed these on several bikes from pictures on Todotrial but can't work out what they are. Any idea? (re-shaped Gonelli?) Lovely bike. The chassis is strictly original, maybe you think that because of the paint in the tank. 3.- YES, with modified position, slightly rear. 4.- It is the original ona but slightly shorter. 5.- Yes, to make the forks more "rigid". 6.- Yes, to reduce vibrations in the hole "thing". 7.- Just a PHBH that actually existed when this bike also existed, not illegal. 8.- Yes, Mick Andrews design and development (sorry no publicity permited). 9.- Yes, the seat is a modification of the original one. 10.- Home made chain guard. There are some more. Nothing that you can

You need to work in the Betor sliders to modify them and fix the clamps. Correct, rear mudguard is striclty original, some time spend to cut it properly. (and some mudguards spoilt while learning) Edited February 20, 2008 by Greeves

Hi bilc0, inside the cylinder just the transfers opened (maybe "rounded" is more correct) a little. Have you started the countdown for Robregordo?? We will have a special event there for the 50 years of Bultaco.
