tdht Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 Interesting - I ran both my B40's (trials and trail) with a 520 Chain and had no problems with it fouling the oil seal. This is how it came as standard on a B25 and the frame and engine position are the same..... Unless its because the 14t sprok I used placed the chain plates outside the oil seal whereas the 12t puts them right by the seal?? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
charlie prescott Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 Hi Guy's Yes it is the 12 tooth that is the problem. I should have thought about this before posting. With this Talon sprocket the chain sits right down along side the oil seal, another cure I have thought about is to use a totaly sealed gearbox bearing and machine of the face of the oilseal holder.
