I have been told to use ATF or normal 20/40 engine oil or Putoline GP10. Seems like ATF is recommneded for some types of gear boxes but not others. peterb Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 Hi Clive, I don't have a Beta but thought you maybe should try this posting in the Beta section to get a few responses. jmck Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 The official factory recommendation is 'Bardahl Gearbox 20W40', so realisitically any good quality 20x40 motor oil will work, and so does ATF.
