johnh
I'm just returning to trials after a very long lay off and was wondering if there are any practice venues around the Gloucester area? I want to see if I can still do it before entering a competitive trial. Cheers.

helloyes
No no restrictions for Aggs look for hope hill by the other GCHQ (not the donut) on an OS map and follow the road to the pilons at the top 1/2 mile before on the left you will find the quarry. Nettleton is on the A417 2 miles ish from the Air Baloon pub heading towards Swindon and just before the roundabout its on your left. As for Kilkenny its on the A436 by the pub in the on the way to Andoversford hope tis helps.

johnh
Talking to the chap who serviced my heating he used do a bit of trials and said that the Police often go up Aggs on their off roaders but usually just waved as they rode passed. He also said Cheltenham council used to advertise Kilkenny as a practice venue until some one sued them after breaking their leg So now they don't endorse it but it is still know as a practice venue. Had my first afternoon up Aggs Well I say afternoon it was only an hour and I was knackered but it was good to be back on a trials bike more practice and a bit of phys and I may enter a comp. We were up there 12-18 months ago and a copper on a white XR250 pulled up and checked the registration details of my car and trials bike, but had no problem with us being there.
